이번 앨범은 한국 고유의 악기를 1가지 이상은 반드시 사용해서 작업하는 것을 원칙으로 하였습니다. 서로 다른 문화적 배경을 가진, 여러 국적의 아티스트들이 딥테크노라는 공통된 음악적 지향점을 매개로 한국이라는 국지적인 문화에 대해 어떻게 교류하고 상호작용할수 있는가에 대한 탐구로써의 시도입니다.
전통문화라는 것은 매우 훌륭한 문화적 자산이라고 생각합니다. 그것은 로컬 아티스트들에게는 이미 체화된 훌륭한 유산이며, 타국의 아티스트들에게는 낯섦과 새로움을 주는 소재였을 것입니다. 참여한 로컬 아티스트가 어떻게 자신의 문화적 자산을 테크노라는 글로벌한 보편적 음악언어에 녹여냈는지, 또 여러 글로벌 아티스트들은 국악이라는 새로운 음악적 재료를 어떻게 자신의 음악과 녹여내고, 충돌시켰는지, 지켜보시기에 흥미로운 작업들이 되기를 소망합니다.

In this annievesary EP, we tried to make the artists to use at least one Korean traditional instrument in their tracks. By this kind of process, we tried to observe cultural interactions and thought there will be some achievements thruough out this kind of works. I hope listeners can find some interesting moments while there are listening these works, if they are keeping that for some Korean artists their traditional sounds are like culturally genetically inherited legacy and watching how they tells the story using these ingredients into techno music. Also for international artists, it will be interesting to watch how they integrate these unfamilliar ingredients to their sensitivity and deliver it to listeners.
